ABOUT HARKERVILLE FOREST LODGE

Harkerville Forest Lodge is the 50-year-old creation of Bennett and Anette van Rensburg.

Bennet is the son of a forestry official who spent his life caring for the Knysna Forest. Bennet grew up on the farm and Anette joined him when they got married nearly 50 years ago.

Together they systematically built Harkerville Forest Lodge into a popular destination for groups and a variety of campers including weekend, holiday and long-term campers.

Harkerville Forest Lodge is the ideal place to relax mind, body & soul.

They can accommodate groups of up to 160 people and they are popular with groups from schools as far as Standerton in Mpumalanga using Harkerville Forest Lodge as their base when they visit the Garden Route on school tours.

The lodge is also a favourite venue for weddings and a popular sleep-over destination for tourists on their way to the Southern or Eastern Cape.

Hikers use Harkerville Lodge as base when they visit to walk the Perdekop, Kranskop, Robberg and other hiking trails in the area.

Harkerville Forest Lodge is 20km from Knysna and 15 km from Plettenberg Bay.
